Job Hunter ("we", "us") helps job seekers find matching roles and reach out to the right people. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data, your email address and, if you use Google sign-in, your name and avatar.
  • Résumé content, the résumé you upload and the profile we parse from it (skills, roles, experience).
  • Usage data, searches you run, matches, and settings (e.g. notification preferences).
  • Payment data, handled by our payment processor (Razorpay). We never see or store your card details.

2. How we use your data

To parse your résumé, match it against job listings, generate outreach drafts, deliver alerts you opt into, process payments, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Third parties we share with

To provide the service, limited data is processed by:

  • AI providers (e.g. Google Gemini, Groq), your résumé and job text are sent to generate matches and drafts.
  • Razorpay, payments. Resend, transactional email. ntfy, push alerts you enable.
  • Hosting/infrastructure, Vercel, Render, Neon (database).
  • Search/enrichment, Brave Search and Clearbit, used only to look up publicly available company and professional information for the contact finder.

4. The contact finder

When you use the "Who to contact" feature, we surface publicly available professional information (e.g. LinkedIn profiles) and generate unverified, pattern-based email guesses. You are responsible for using this information lawfully and respectfully, in line with applicable anti-spam and data-protection laws. If you are a professional and wish to have information relating to you removed, contact us below.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and résumé data while your account is active. You can delete your résumés at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location (including under India's DPDP Act and the GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these, email us at the address below.

7. Security & cookies

We use encryption in transit and store credentials securely. We use a small number of essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in; we do not use third-party advertising trackers.

8. Children

Job Hunter is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
